THE BANGALORE SANTA...

Okay.. here goes my first attempt at writing a blog….Hope this comes out as good as it is in my mind !!!

I was just bursting to pen these thoughts down since morning… it was like as if they were waiting to be poured somewhere…

This happens to be the best year ending that I have ever had in my life… What started out as a small gathering of family turned out to be the most happening and rocking party of all times. This new year celebration begins with my bro (read bro in law) and bhabhi coming in post xmas… I was dying to meet them after such a long break.. More than me I could actually see my mom (read mom in law) getting geared up to meet her “mone” in her own words… We actually had a mini food fest at home.. It was like as if her sole aim was to feed everyone at home at all points of time.. I have never seen such a spread being served everyday.. all your typical Kerala specialties… Puttu Kadala , Avial, Fish Curries and Chicken (I am still a veggie) etc..

I don’t know about exercise for the other parts of my body but our mouth and stomach definitely had the most workouts !!!

When we actually get some breather from the food festival at home there was a loootttt of shopping to be crammed in.. Crawford markets and Bandra’s of the world feature in this.. My bhabhi and Deepa actually had the best time of their life ( I cant say the same thing about Bro and KT.. LOL ),  bhabhi was only short of taking an oath to come at least once in a year to Mumbai and shop.. Make a small piggy bank and save up all the money that they want to spend back in B’lore.

Okay I am taking a small diversion from the trip details and going to describe a particularly interesting person  I met in this vacation.. Rajeshkumar Kalaripallil Thangappan (I hope I have got this name correct !!)  alias KT . He is the only person I have met who knows to keep someone smiling just by saying nothing and to top it all of his antics are out of this world ! Oh and yes he has met his match in Deepa alias Deeba… What a deadly combination they make (touchwood) ! Kudos to that ! So let me try and get some of the “out of the world ” qualities of KT here… He has a unique way of dancing and actually knows how to make someone dance (even  those with 2 left feet) be it changing bulbs, or starting a motorcycle and shooing a dog ( the last one is my fav).

Wow… mindblowing non stop entertainment… the only time he is actually quiet is when having food….hmmmm.. so these are some things that I can write about him..

Now, back to our discussion .. So between shopping and eating a mouthfuls of food we had these long night conversations which had more than its share of the fun elements.. Small things like seeing mom's eagerness to come home early from her 2ndshift.. Both Viju ( my dear husband)  and Bro eagerly waiting for her to come home are gestures that are more than millions in this world.. Then comes our discussion into the night… We actually adapted to sleeping at 2 or 3 in the night.

 As the days went by, I was actually dreading the fact that this vacation would soon be coming to an end.. But wait there is the new year party also to watch out for !!! Wait for more on my next blog… “ LETS MAKE IT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER”
